TweetThe Valparaiso University Books and Coffee Series features reviews by VU faculty members and discussions of new fiction and nonfiction books. The sessions take place in the Christopher Center for Library and Information Resources at 4 pm.
The books to be discussed are as follows:
Jan. 28 - "The Will of the People" by Barry Friedman, reviewed by Dr. Larry Baas, professor of economics
Feb. 4 - "Too Big to Fail" by Andrew Ross Sorkin, reviewed by Dr. Virginia Shingleton, professor of political science
Feb. 11 - "The Wheeling Motel" by Franz Wright, reviewed by Dr. Susanna Childress, lecturer in humanities and English in Christ College
Feb. 18 - "Crude World: The Violent Twilight of Oil" by Peter Maass, reviewed by Bharath Ganesh-Babu, instructor in geography and meteorology
Feb. 25 - "Olive Kitteridge" by Elizabeeth Strout, reviewed by Edward Uehling, professor of English
