Young adults are invited to the Lego Stop Motion Program at Westchester Public Library. The program will take place in the Bertha Wood meeting room at Thomas Library, 200 W. Indiana Avenue, Chesterton, on 3 different days: Monday, March 8, Thursday, March 11, and Monday, March 15.

Attendees will use Lego creations crafted by members of the Lego Club. The theme for March is the military.

The first session will take place Monday, March 8 from 4-5 p.m. Join Gabe Underwood as he instructs attendees in the pre-production stage of creating a stop motion film.

The production session will take place on Thursday, March 11 from 4-5:30 p.m. Attendees will view their productions on Monday, March 15 from 4-4:30 p.m.

Stop motion (or frame-by-frame) is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small amounts between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames are played as a continuous sequence.
