Westchester Public Library, the Library Service Center and Westchester Township History Museum to Close for Labor Day

Both branches of Westchester Public Library, the Library Service Center and the Westchester Township History Museum will be closed Monday, September 6 for Labor Day. Library buildings will reopen Tuesday, September 7 and resume regular hours. The office of the Westchester Township Trustee will also be closed on September 6.

Thomas Library, located at 200 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton, is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Hageman Library, located at 100 Francis St., Porter, is open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday from 1-5 p.m. and is closed on Sunday. The Library Service Center, 100 W. Indiana Ave., Chesterton, is open as needed for meetings. The Westchester Township History Museum, housed in the Brown Mansion at 700 W. Porter Ave., Chesterton, is open Wednesday-Sunday 1-5 p.m. or by appointment.
